Fire in the Rockies: What am I – your pet dog?

Sat Spankings

It’s time for Saturday Spankings! I have another snippet for you from my recent Corbin’s Bend release, Fire in the Rockies. Enjoy!

Blurb: Fiery and strong Kelly Carmichael is a bit of a chip off the old block. Her father Jack and her uncle Brent are strong dominant individuals who can get the job done. And yet there’s a part of her that desires to be dominated in the bedroom. Unsure of her own desires in the DD department, she moves to Corbin’s Bend to be close to family and to work at the Corbin’s Bend Medical Center. Her first day she runs into RJ Butler.
RJ has been in Corbin’s Bend for a while and wants nothing more than to find a woman he can take care of and develop a solid domestic discipline relationship with. Fiery, intelligent Kelly catches his interest and it isn’t long before he wants more. He just can’t tell if she is truly willing to submit to him.
Sparks fly and heat rises in the Colorado Rockies. If RJ and Kelly can make it through the embers, their relationship just might make it. But when a forest fire cuts them off from all help, it’s them against nature. Will they make it home? Or is their fire set to go out?

Kelly has just been told to come out of the corner and she’s over RJ’s lap about to get spanked.

“Did you think about what I asked you to?”
“Mmm…hmm.”
He gave her ass a mild slap and said, “The correct response is ‘yes, sir.’ Now try again.”
She hesitated a second, and then said, “Yes, sir.” Her voice trembled a little.
“Good girl. And did you come to any conclusion?”
Her body stiffened and her head lifted and turned in an attempt to look back at him, and she  said, “Good girl? What am I, your pet dog? Lassie? Don’t call me good girl. I’m not your puppy-dog.”

Happy Valentine’s Day!

valentines day

I missed Saturday Spankings this week, so here’s a little snippet from my recently released Corbin’s Bend book, Fire in the Rockies.

Kelly unbuttoned her blouse angrily as she stomped to what RJ had designated as ‘her corner’ in his bedroom. One of the buttons ripped off, fell to the floor, and rolled under the bed.
“Dammit,” she muttered as she debated if she should get on her hands and knees and find that stupid button. She decided against it because the last thing she wanted right now was for RJ to walk in and find her with her ass pointing to the ceiling, giving him a perfect target.
She slipped out of her skirt and panties, threw them on the chair with her blouse, then unhooked her bra and slid the straps down her arms while she violently kicked her shoes off. One of them hit the wall and left a black scuff mark.
Good, she thought to herself, serves him right for making me get in the corner just because I disagree with him.
His words came back to her as she faced the corner and found the familiar L-shaped flaw in the plaster. She wasn’t here because she disagreed with him. It was because of what she said. Truthfully, it wasn’t even so much what she said but how she said it. Telling him to take his rule and stick it where the sun doesn’t shine— in other words, stick it up his ass— probably wasn’t the best way to voice her opinion.

Fire in the Rockies – Wishing and Hoping

Sat Spankings

Welcome to Saturday Spankings, the blog where authors share eight sentences of their book. I’m going a little over eight this week – just a few more sentences. Fire in the Rockies was released this past Wednesday and is now available on Amazon and on Blushing Books. Be sure to get your copy!

In the last post, Kelly and RJ were driving home after RJ decided they needed to ‘kick things up a notch’ and he ordered their dinner to go. Tension was high in the truck on their way home and Kelly’s body was tingling with anticipation of what might happen once they got back to RJ’s place.

Her eyes were closed and she pretended to be asleep so she wouldn’t have to talk. She felt his hand settle on the exposed part of her thigh just above her knee. He gave it a gentle squeeze.
     “Are you all right?”
“Yeah, I’m fine.” She tried to sound casual and unconcerned.
“I meant, are you fine with what’s going to happen when we get back to my house?”
“I know what you meant. I’m fine with it.” She wished her voice hadn’t come out quite so breathless.
What she didn’t know and didn’t want to ask, was if ‘kicking it up a notch’ meant just sex or if he planned to try a little spanking. Damn if she didn’t wish and hope that there’d be a spanking. Every damn time she thought about making love with RJ, the thought of being spanked by him always cropped up in her mind.

But I want another drink!

Sat Spankings

Welcome to another Saturday Spankings. Here’s another little teaser from my soon to be released book, Fire in the Rockies. It’ll be out in less than two weeks! Sadly, it’s the last book of the Corbin’s Bend series.

Kelly and RJ are out on their first date away from Corbin’s Bend. They’ve had several small dates in the community at the various restaurants, but this is their first big date. It’s not going smoothly, and RJ decides it’s time to leave the restaurant and take their differences home for further discussion.

The atmosphere in RJ’s truck crackled with sexual tension. Their uneaten dinners sat on the floor at Kelly’s feet. There was no conversation between them as they drove back to Corbin’s Bend.
She wasn’t sure what he had meant when he said it was time to kick things up a notch, but she had felt her nipples harden and her pussy formed a little pool of moisture. She had downed her strong margarita before their meals even came to the table.
When the server came
back to the table, Kelly had ordered another margarita but RJ said no.
Looking at the server, he told her, “I’m sorry, but I think we’re going to be leaving. Could you please put our meals in to-go boxes for us?”
He pulled his wallet from his pocket and dug out a credit card to pay for their meals. Handing it to the waitress, he said, “You can bring the check back with you.”
“But I wanted another drink,” Kelly protested.
“You can have another drink when we get back to my place.”

No help from Uncle Brent

Sat Spankings

Welcome to Saturday Spankings! I think it’s been more than a few weeks since I’ve posted anything. Last time I gave you a snippet from my soon to be released book Fire in the Rockies. Kelly was trying to figure out what the initials RJ in her new boyfriend’s name stood for. He’s refusing to tell her and she gets the brilliant idea of calling her Uncle Brent to get the info. After all, he must have checked out RJ’s application to join the Corbin’s Bend community. Surely he’d tell her what she wants to know. Or will he?

When Kelly calls Brent she says she’s planning to bake RJ a cake and wants to write his name on it. When he suggests she just asks RJ, her excuse is he’s on a four day shift so she can’t reach him. Brent makes the excuse that he doesn’t remember and thinks the application only had the RJ initials on it. Kelly challenges him on by asking how they ran RJ’s credit without his full name.

She heard her uncle sigh and had a feeling she wasn’t going to get any answers. He proved her right with what he said next.
“Kelly, I honestly don’t remember what was on his application. Even if I did, I can’t go around giving out personal information on our residents. Bottom line, you’re going to have to get that information some other way. Besides, he goes by RJ and I don’t think it would look bad on a cake.”
Disappointed, Kelly said, “Okay, thanks anyway. See you soon.”
As soon as she hung up, she muttered under her breath, “Thanks for nothing.”
She’d have to let it go for now and think of some other way to find out his name.

RJ – What do those initials stand for?

Saturday Spankings-Halloween Hat3

Welcome to another edition of Saturday Spankings. I know it’s been a while (again) since I’ve posted – I’ll try and do better. My last post introduced you to Kelly Carmichael and RJ Butler, the heroine and hero from my next Corbin’s Bend book, Fire in the Rockies which is due to be released in early February. I’ll continue this week with Kelly’s musing over what those initials could stand for. RJ is not willing to divulge that information, leaving Kelly to guess and scheme on how to find out.

In my last post, Kelly had asked RJ what his initials stood for and his response was to tell her it didn’t matter since he used only RJ. She’s left to to try and figure out what his first and middle names could be and she runs through a list of R names and J names trying to guess.

RJ…what the hell could those initials stand for? And what was the big deal that he couldn’t or wouldn’t tell her what his names were? Robert, Randall, Roy, Richard, Raymond, Russell, Ralph. None of them were objectionable. In fact the only R name she could think of that would be undesirable was Rufus.
She thought of all the J names she could think of. James, John, Joseph, Joshua, and of course, Jack. Her list of J names didn’t come up with any odd ones. So what was wrong with his name that he didn’t want her to even know what the initials stood for?
Wait, she had an idea….

And I’ll tell you that idea in my next post for Fire in the Rockies. In the meantime, don’t forget to check out the rest of the Saturday Spankings Blog Hop entries!

You Shouldn’t be Sarcastic

Saturday Spankings-Halloween Hat3

Happy Halloween and welcome to another Saturday Spankings! I’m sure you’ve all heard that Corbin’s Bend Season Four is here! The first book, The Man She Needed by Ruth Staunton, was just released this week. I have a book in this season as well. The release date isn’t until February 4th, but I thought I’d start with the teasers.

Their relationship is just beginning and they’ve met for coffee before RJ has to leave for his shift as a forest range.

RJ looked at his watch and saw he had to get going. “I want to see you again, Kelly Carmichael. I’m on shift for four days this time, but can I take you to dinner when I get back?”
Kelly stood up, took a last sip of her coffee before saying, “I’d like that. But first you have to tell me what RJ stands for.”
“They’re the initials of my first and middle names.”
“Well, duh. Obviously I know that! I’m asking what your first and middle names are.”
“You shouldn’t be sarcastic, Kelly. Didn’t I just tell you what I wanted to do to my last sarcastic girlfriend?”
