K is for Kudos to all our Bloggers

Day 11 of the Spanking Blog Challenge

K could have been for kisses. But I’m sure there’ll be other participants who’ll kiss their way through K.

I want to say Kudos to all our bloggers who are working so hard getting a post up every day during this challenge. There are a number of bloggers who write posts a couple of times a week or more. They participate in Saturday Spanks! and other regularly featured blog hops.  I actually envy how they manage to blog so much. Not only do they blog, but they twitter regularly and post on Facebook frequently. It makes me wonder how the heck they get any book writing done. Compared to most of them, I’m a slacker.

Kudos

Even though I have more books published than some of our regular bloggers, my promotional efforts leave a lot to be desired. Yes, I’m going to make excuses now. I have two other jobs besides writing. Both of those jobs are sort of full time, but not really. One is in sales and while I do something in that job every day and some days it takes up the entire day, it’s not really a 40 hour a week job. The second job is not in sales but is similar in that some days are super busy with a lot to do and other days I can let things slide and get some writing in.

I try and write at least 1500 to 2000 words a day. Every so often I manage to do 5000 words in a day. On my treadmill desk I can usually write between 1100 and 1700 words in the hour and nine minutes that I’m on it. Yes, I know that the hour and nine minutes comes to a total of 69 minutes. Please, get your minds out of the gutter.

I signed up for this blog challenge in an effort to make myself work harder at getting my name and my books more visibility. That is the whole purpose of blogging, isnt’ it? But it’s been a challenge getting something up on the blog every day. Thinking of a subject for the day’s letter, then writing it, then hunting down pictures. I can’t believe how much time I spend looking for pictures I can use.

So today, for the letter K, I’m saying Kudos to all the bloggers who manage to ‘do it all’ so effortlessly. There’s too many to list, which makes me feel even more like a slacker. Or if not a slacker, then just a disorganized person who can’t get it together.

Be sure to read the other participant’s A to Z posts.

I is for Ice

Day 9 of the Spanking Blog Challenge

A2Z-Logo-C1

Ice is something I can’t get enough of living in the desert. I don’t like drinking warm water when it’s 110 degrees outside. I keep half a dozen water bottles in the freezer. They are filled only halfway and then frozen. When I need water, I just fill the bottle up the rest of the way and I have ice water until the block of ice melts. On most days I go through 3 or 4 of these bottles. If I’m out all day I keep a small cooler in the car with my icy bottles and a couple of bottles of water to fill them with.  Ice water is so much more refreshing than warm water.

There are other, more creative ways to use ice. Try a few ice chips in your mouth just before going down on your man. Your ice cold tongue on him can be very hot. He can try it on you as well.

Ice

I’ve heard of it being used as a punishment though I’ve never experienced that particular use of ice. As some of you are aware – I’ve never experienced punishment. Everything that goes on here is for fun and pleasure only.  The way I understand it is that a cube of ice is inserted (guess where) and remains there as it slowly melts away. Gives me the shivers just thinking about it.

What other ways can you think of to use ice?

Be sure to check out all the other bloggers!

H is for Hands

Day 8 of the Spanking Blog Challenge

A2Z-Logo-C1

Aren’t hands wonderful? Isn’t it nice to put your hand in your significant other’s hand? To feel the warmth and closeness?

It’s nice when you’re canoodling and you wake up to find his hand on your breast or between your legs, cupping your sex. And you know how he loves it when your hands are on him. When you wrap your hand around him and bring him to the point that leads to other things.

hands

The feel of his big hand caressing your bare butt just before he gives you the first strike of your spanking. How he squeezes your cheeks in that moment before the spanking begins in earnest. It’s all so luscious. Even the sharp sting of the smacks as your ass is getting warmer and redder with every blow, it all just adds to the wonderful sensations.

What do you like best about hands?

G is for Gnome Globes

Day 7 of the Spanking Blog Challenge

A2Z-Logo-C1

I’m back to last weekend’s all girl’s pool party for this post. Remember the Jello-shots I featured for the letter E? Well this little gnome was sitting on the pool deck all by himself mooning us the entire weekend. He’s there every year; watching and mooning us.

One night someone ran into the kitchen and came back with a wooden spoon. It was high-time this little man was punished for his wicked mooning.  And so the poor gnome was spanked with the wooden spoon. Unfortunately, he didn’t learn his lesson.

His pants are still down around his ankles, but you’ll notice the globes of his bottom have been reddened by the wooden spoon. Perhaps next year he’ll find a way to keep his pants up or he’ll find himself in even more trouble.

F is for the F-word

Day 6 of the Spanking Blog ChallengeA2Z-Logo-C1

The F-word is one of my favorite words. I know I use it too much. Maybe if I explain how versatile this word is it will come to be seen in a more favorable light.

It’s a magical word that can describe pain, pleasure, love, and hate. “F—” can be used as a noun, verb (active or passive), and adverb or even an adjective. There are few words as versatile as “F—.”

f-word
It can mean much more than its sexual connotations. You can use it to greet someone… “How the F— are you?” Or to describe fraud… “I got F—ed by the car dealer.” Dismay… “Oh, F— it!” Trouble… “Well, I guess I’m F—ed now.” Confusion… “What the F—…..?” I’m sure you can think of many more.

the_f_bomb2
As an anatomical description you could say, “He’s a F—ing A-hole.” You can use it to tell time – “It’s six F—ing thirty.” Or in business you could say – “How did I end up with this F—ing job?” It can be political as in “F— (enter your most hated politician.) It can even be used in a maternal way as in “Motherf—er.”
When you consider the many uses of this word, how can anyone be offended when you say “F—?” Try using it today to get your point across. Just be careful that it doesn’t get you a spanking!

Disclaimer: This is part of a description of uses of this word that I have had since the 70’s. I have no idea who wrote it, if I did I would give them their credit due.

D is for Dumplings

Day 4 of the Spanking Blog Challenge

A2Z-Logo-C1

No, I’m not going to admit that I’m shaped like a dumpling. I’m doing a recipe for D. I thought about the obvious; domestic discipline, Doms, D/s, even DD lite. But I’m sure there’ll be a lot of other blogs participating in this blog challenge that will choose one or more of those.

Next to writing spankin’ good stories (that’s my tag line on this blog in case you haven’t noticed), my favorite subject is food. I needed a food that started with a D and dumplings was the first thing to come to mind.

There are all kinds of dumplings to choose from and I wanted something a little uncommon. So I thought of the tiny little spaetzle dumplings that are delicious with Hungarian Goulash (the Hungarians spell it Guylas and it’s pronounced gooyash). I know this because of my Hungarian ethnicity.

Back to dumplings. I also enjoy a good bread dumpling with sauerkraut and they’re easy to make. My absolute favorite dumpling is an Austrian dumpling my mother makes for Christmas. That one consists of a little meat ball made of ground ham mixed with onions, garlic, and parsley. The little meatball is then wrapped in a potato dough and boiled to perfection. It too is served with sauerkraut. The problem with it is that it’s a bear to make. Time consuming and very easy to overcook and make the potato dough a mushy unappealing blob.

Easy bread dumplings are my pick for today. Those of you looking for low-carb recipes – this is not what you want.

semmelknodel

Ingredients:

2 or 3 day old French rolls (my mother used whatever old bread she had) torn into large pieces

½ cup room temperature milk, 1 large egg, Fresh chopped parsley, Salt and pepper to taste.

Directions:

Put the pieces of bread into a bowl and add the milk. Allow to soak for 10 to 15 minutes. In another bowl beat the egg with parsley and season with the salt and pepper. Then add this mixture to the bread and milk bowl and work it all together with your hands. Once it’s all mixed, wet your hands and make four dumplings.

Boil a pot of salted water and put the dumplings in the water to simmer for about 15 minutes. Do NOT boil the water, just simmer. When they’re done, take them out of the water and let them drain in a colander. Serve with sauerkraut, goulash, or any stew. Delish!

B is for BDSM

Day 2 of the Spanking Blog Challenge

A2Z-Logo-C1

I’m going to bet that more than a few of my fellow bloggers partaking in this challenge will have BDSM for their B entry.

While BDSM is definitely not for everyone, I think we all have at least a tiny little fantasy about it. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be tied up, spread-eagled out on the bed, and have your partner do all sorts of delicious things to you? What if you added a blindfold?

What would it be like to be tied up, blindfolded, and have no idea of what was coming next? It could be a series of feather soft caresses on your body – a body that is super sensitive because you’re lying there in anticipation of the next sensation.

bdsm

Perhaps it will be the sting of the belt across your bottom, or the burn of the cane. If you’re on your back, maybe it will the pinch of nipple clamps.  Or maybe there won’t be any pain at all. Maybe it will all be nothing more than you and your body being worshipped with gentle kisses, soft touches, and words of love.

I must admit the whole idea of being tied up scares me. Ever since I read Gerald’s Game by Stephen King about a woman who is handcuffed to the bed by her husband in his game of bondage, the idea scares the you know what out of me. I don’t want to spoil the book for anyone who hasn’t read it yet, but her husband has a heart attack and there she is, stuck in a cabin during the off-season with no one to hear her cries of help. Of course, in true Stephen King fashion, the poor woman begins hearing things and the reader is left to determine what is real or what is just all in her head.

There’s much more to BDSM than my few examples and I know I will be hopping around on the blogs below to see who else is writing about BDSM.

Spanking A to Z Blogging Challenge

A2Z-Logo-C1

Spanking Romance Reviews is sponsoring this event and I signed up for it. Yeah, me – I signed up. I have a hard time blogging once a week and often two or three weeks go by without me posting anything. So now I’m going to try and blog for 26 out of the 30 days in June. Oh boy – shall we start laughing now?

Life just always seems to get in the way. I have two other jobs besides writing and one of those jobs has been keeping me really busy for the last few months. Which is good – I look at it as job security. I’m not complaining. But I would like to blog more. So we’ll see how I do on this challenge. I will try to not let other things interfere.

I’m going to cheat a little bit. But I don’t think it can really be called cheating. First, I’m going to work on my posts and get them lined up to publish automatically. From what I read, lots of bloggers write all their posts once a week and schedule them to publish when they want. So let me correct myself, I’m not cheating. I’m just taking advantage of an available tool. I hope to have at least half of my posts scheduled before the end of May. Then maybe I can skate through the second half in June without freaking out about being a failure.

Below is a list of everyone who has signed up so far. Join us if you haven’t already. Or just wait and visit all the fantastic blogs.
